Founder & CEO
Ms Lim is the founder and CEO of the Harmonis Group, she also serves as its Board of Director. The immense passion she felt for education motivated her to start career as an educator in her early 20s. Years later, she founded her own education centre which quickly expanded from 1 to 3 centres within a year and soon become the best choice of centre in the area.
As a veteran educator who turned entrepreneur, Ms Lim brings to the table nearly 2 decades of experience in the industry, well-versed in every aspect from teaching, curriculum pedagogy, learning and assessments, child psychology, parents’ relations, centre operations, strategic planning, financial stability and overall successful development of centre.
Knowing that education helps build confidence, deliver joy and hope, Ms Lim set down a principle to live by– “education has no class distinction”, which the spirit has been deepened over generations in Harmonis and every member hold true it to make sure every child acquires the knowledge and skills they need at an appropriate pace.
Every child has infinite potential and she believes when they are guided onto the right path, right mindset and positive values, given the opportunities, they are capable of achieving many great things in life, this has been clearly showcased in the students of Harmonis, many has secured places to prestigious schools, colleges and universities attributed to their impressive academic achievement.
Head of Operations & Business Development
Ivan is our Head of Operations and Business Development. With more than 3years’ experience in the education setting, Ivan has dedicated his career to helping organisations establish efficient operating model which resulted in increased capabilities and better outcomes in student learnings, streamlined performance, team productivity and financial management.
Now, Ivan also heads up Business Development team. He’s responsible for licensing expansion and ensuring licensees are guided with the best strategy, system and tactical marketing to increase local brand awareness, drive centre performance and thrive over long term.
Partner Support & Communication Admin & HR
Yi Mei graduated from University of Edinburgh with a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, and a Degree in English Education. Directly upon graduation, she began her career working as English teacher to students from Primary through Secondary, helping them to develop English proficiency through structured programmes and subsequently rebuilding their confidence in learning.
Armed with a passion for building strategic relationships and a flair for communication, she is now leading the Partner Support and Communication team focused on developing and maintaining connections with partners, ensuring partners’ expectations are met, providing operational support and introducing sales enablement initiatives to drive partner’s loyalty and partner performance.
Equipped with successful experience supporting the management team, now, she co-leads the corporate office with CEO, responsible to lead compliance fulfilment, effective internal control/ audit and provide high level support to senior management team.
Marketing & Promotion
Yi Xuan is our Marketing & Promotion Executive. Yi Xuan began her career with Harmonis as a teacher before making the leap into Marketing and Promotion.
Yi Xuan believes that with the digital age we are in, marketing and advertising are getting more and more prominent. Her innate flair for creativity will enable her to create advertising that break through the clutter and moves the needle.
Sales Executive and Pre-operational Support
Stella is our Sales Executive and Pre-operational Support. Stella holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Education and her passion for English led to a 5-year enriching teaching and learning experience by adopting interactive pedagogies.
Drawing on her extensive experience in teaching and her interest to explore the business sides, she currently heads the Pre-operational Sales Support team in Harmonis, helping to provide a pleasant partner experience for licensees from onboarding to the successful launch of a centre that encompasses various aspects such as investment structure, business licenses application, reviewing strategic locations, market research, consistent branding, centre set-up, system implementation, teacher hiring and training, pre-opening marketing plan and the open day of the centre.
Head of R&D and Training
Vivien is our Head of R&D and Training. Vivien graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education and went straight get into teaching Primary students. Vivien brings a decade of experience in education to Harmonis where she worked in a variety of roles within this time including teaching, curriculum and pedagogy development, programme implementation, teaching practices and general management of education centre.
Vivien is passionate about using her varied experiences to innovate and improve Harmonis’ curriculum, pedagogy and instruction that aim at ensuring curriculum is related to students’ environment and making learning experience relevant, meaningful and enjoyable; empowering teachers with pedagogical and instructional skills and knowledge to help students make meaning of their learning.
When she is not working behind the scene, you will see her deliver invigorating yet digestible training to our teachers.
Curriculum Content Development
Ai Sze is our Curriculum Content Developer. Ai Sze graduated with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education with a successful 6 years’ experience working as a teacher where she has developed distinguished competence in creating positive learning environment that is responsive to and respectful of the learning needs of all students.
From there, she found her love for curriculum content development. She believes that content development is the foundation that will allow curriculum comes alive through the trainer. When comes to designing curriculum content, she always begins with the end thought that anyone, with any educational background, could deliver the programme.
